Where it All Began

Monday morning I dropped my girls at the CU Women’s Lacrosse camp at CU-Boulder. I got this adorable photo of them by the practice fields North of campus.

It made me stop and think, yes, CU-Boulder is where it all began. The start of an amazing life in Colorado. I came to Colorado in 1992 to attend CU-Boulder. Definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Colorado and I seem to get along very well (though I do love to still visit CA).

I know I’m not alone in this instant love in CO. I work with clients who can’t imagine living anywhere else and have worked hard to get here or come back to CO after time away. The Front Range has so much to offer as far as work/life balance. After working at CU-Boulder for a few years (recruiting undergraduate students) I made the decision to transition to real estate in 2004. I’ve always loved houses and working with people. Counseling, collaborating and communicating with clients was the next step for me.

Over the last 16 years (I’ve been back and living here full time since 2000) this area has grown on me even more. Not only do we enjoy all Boulder has to offer but we’re in the amazing town of Louisville a lot (jump rope, concerts, friends) and are exploring Lafayette (wow has that town grown), discovering Broomfield (if you haven’t been to the Bay with your kids, check it out). When we have a little more time we head to the mountains (Pagosa Springs and Steamboat are two of my favorite CO towns). This is all right in our “backyard.” I still stop to enjoy the view on a daily basis. I hope I never take that for granted. Our schools are amazing, the community is unique and fun, and the outdoor opportunities are plentiful.

Over the last 12 years I’ve been lucky enough to work with families (several generations) making roots in this area. I LOVE working with folks relocating to CO, and folks who have lived here forever also give me great insight on this area before I was here in the early 90s.

Yes, this post dates me (oh well) but I thought it would be worth letting family, friends, and clients know why I love Colorado and why I chose to work in real estate. I want to make sure everyone has an amazing experience when it comes to buying or selling a home. Our dynamic market requires knowledge, professionalism and passion for success. I strive to create clients for life and am proud that my business is almost 100% repeat and referral. What’s better than working with folks you know or who have been referred to you during such a big time in their lives? Not much.

Along with a hard working Realtor, you get a Front Range tour guide. I look forward to many more years assisting folks in the Front Range.

Go Buffs!
