If you are looking for someone who is an in your face bulldog, Michelle is not the realtor for you. The house hunt
We looked for a home over a three year span of time and in a half a dozen different areas/towns. We were basically all over the map. Our biggest appreciation for Michelle is her on-going patience with us. We are first-time home buyers so the whole process was new to us. Michelle explained the entire process to us and she also kept us within our budget. I think we would have bought a few homes that were in the higher end of our budget or maybe homes that wouldn’t fit our long-term goals, Michelle really helped us sort through our needs versus our wants. This is key for first-time homebuyers. We never felt that Michelle had anyone but our own interest at heart.
Did I mention that we viewed these homes with our three children under teh age of two in tow? Michelle was unbelievably kind to our children (who will now miss her dearly). Our son shows his stuffed animals through our home pretending to be Michelle!
Buying Process
We thought Michelle shined through the house hunting process, but when it came to purchasing our home and preparing for closing, she sailed above our expectations. Again, we were first-time home buyers so we were completely foreign to the process. Michelle made this process a breeze. We never felt alone and she answered all calls-even on SUndays–sorry about that Michelle! She never made us feel annoying or petty about anything-truth be told we were both of those things!
The lack of pressure to buy was a highlight for us. If you like it great, if not then we move on! We felt bad when we would be in the market to buy then say we were not in the market to buy-Michelle never cared. She would spring into action when we wanted to look and sit on the sideline when we weren’t ready. We think this is rare!
Closing
We were all set for closing when our bank got behind with paperwork. Michelle stepped in and even over a weekend, she was in constant contact with our bank to make this deal go through. She called them every hour on the hour! We never would’ve closed had she not made it happen. She was firm but extremely professional. The best part-she did this because she truly wanted us to get the house.
How do you know when your realtor is the best? When you are sitting in a room with the seller’s realtor and they are trying to bully the situation yet your realtor is calm, calculated, and professional. Michelle has a gift at realizing what makes people in this industry respond and take action. She was a complete team player with everyone involved (and kept us calm) and, in the end, these qualities closed the deal. We felt completely covered with Michelle on our side. We also received compliments from our mortgage company and the couple selling our home on our realtors pleasant demeanor and knowledge on all things realty!
When closing your house, your realtor’s actions are a direct reflection on you and if you want someone that represents a strong business presence with a solid knowledge base, then Michelle is definitely the perfect fit. We never wondered whether what she was saying was the exact fact. If she didn’t know (rarely the case) she would look into it and not just give an answer. We respect this about Michelle.
